Count Down to 2025 Summer Institute

Learn about Xavier Jesuit Academy's mandatory Summer Institute 2025, a two-week program (July 21-August 1) at Xavier University that prepares incoming elementary students through academic sessions, social-emotional learning, and team activities.

Summer Institute is a mandatory two-week program that welcomes incoming Xavier Jesuit Academy students and prepares them for their elementary education journey. The program will take place July 21-25, 2025 and July 28-August 1, 2025 at Xavier University. Summer Institute combines academic preparation with social and emotional learning components.

Students engage in sessions designed to establish a foundation for academic success while developing self-awareness and interpersonal skills. Through team activities and leadership development exercises, incoming students build relationships and learn about the collaborative culture that characterizes the school community. The program provides opportunities for students to connect with teachers and peers in a supportive environment that reflects the school's commitment to cura personalis (care for the individual person).

Summer Institute maintains high academic expectations while keeping learning engaging and interactive. This approach reflects the Jesuit educational principle that enthusiasm for learning is equally important as knowledge acquisition. Students develop an understanding of the school's core values: being faith-filled, intellectually competent, committed to doing justice, and open to growth.

The program serves as the foundation for students' development into the leaders envisioned by the school's mission. Summer Institute prepares young men to serve their community with competence, conscience, and compassion.
