Xavier Jesuit Academy: Strengthening Our Mission Through the NativityMiguel Coalition
At Xavier Jesuit Academy, our commitment to forming young men as leaders and "Men for Others" extends beyond our campus walls. We are proud to be a member of the NativityMiguel Coalition (NMC), a national network of faith-based schools dedicated to serving economically disadvantaged students and their families.
A Natural Partnership
Our membership in the NativityMiguel Coalition represents a perfect alignment of values and mission. Both XJA and the NMC share an unwavering commitment to:
- Faith-centered education that integrates spiritual formation throughout the academic experience
- Expanding acces to excellent, tuition-free education
- Educating the whole child through comprehensive academic, spiritual, emotional, and physical development
- Building strong family partnerships that support student success
The Power of Coalition
Through this partnership, XJA benefits from proven best practices, professional development opportunities, resource sharing with other coalition schools, and participation in continuous improvement processes that help us refine our approach and measure our impact.
Jesuit Excellence Meets NMC Innovation
Our 500-year Jesuit educational tradition provides the spiritual and intellectual foundation, while the NativityMiguel Coalition offers contemporary strategies designed specifically for schools like ours. Together, they create an educational model that holds high academic standards while addressing the full needs of our students and preparing them for lifelong leadership and service.

A Community Committed to Excellence
Our membership reinforces our commitment to the Bond Hill neighborhood and greater Cincinnati community. We join a proven network where 85% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch, yet achieve remarkable outcomes through innovative, faith-based education.
As we continue to grow, our partnership with the NativityMiguel Coalition will help ensure that every young man who walks through our doors receives an education that prepares him not just for academic success, but for a lifetime of leadership and service as a true "Man for Others."
Hear from a Nativity Model School Graduate
Xavier Jesuit Academy will welcome its first graduating class in 2028. We're building our Graduate Support Program now, on the same foundation that produces results like these across the network: close mentorship, help navigating the high school search, and support with financial aid that continues long after our students leave our building.
"Cura personalis" lives on as a relationship that lasts well beyond graduation, the same foundation XJA's Graduate Support Program is built on.
Chuma Nnawulezi graduated from Jesuit Academy of Omaha in 2008 and went on to Creighton Prep, Xavier University, and Georgetown University. Today he works as an Executive Engagement Manager at Mayo Clinic, following a career as a U.S. diplomat that took him to three countries.
Chuma reflects on mentors who walked with him through some of his hardest moments, and teachers who stayed present in his life for years after he graduated. He describes feeling both cared for and challenged, and how being a "man for others" became a guidepost throughout his career.
