XJA Students Take On St. Xavier's Summer Companion Scholars Program

This summer, a group of Xavier Jesuit Academy students traded their usual break for three weeks of growth, challenge, and discovery through St. Xavier High School's Companion Scholars Program.

The program is a three-week academic enrichment experience designed for high-achieving 5th and 6th grade young men from across Cincinnati's multicultural communities. Each day brought rigorous morning coursework paired with hands-on electives, mentorship from older students, and field trips that extended learning beyond the classroom.

For XJA's young men, the experience reflects the same values they live out every day at Xavier Jesuit Academy: a commitment to intellectual growth, openness to new challenges, and the belief that formation never stops, even in the summer months. Pairing rigorous academics with mentorship and real-world exploration gave our students the chance to build new skills, form new friendships, and step further into who they are becoming as scholars and leaders.

Take a look at some of the moments from their summer at the Companion Scholars Program.
