Celebrating Excellence: XJA's First Semester Awards

Xavier Jesuit Academy gathered on the Feast of St. Agnes to celebrate student achievement and growth at our first semester awards ceremony. The timing held special significance, as St. Agnes School once called this building home, forming young people in faith and character long before XJA opened its doors.

Fr. Nathan Wendt SJ, Founding President, reminded students that they are pioneers, shaping the culture and spirit of a brand-new school. "What you choose to do, how you show up, and how you treat one another is setting the foundation for every class that will come after you," he shared.

Like St. Agnes, who showed extraordinary courage and clarity of purpose at a young age, XJA students are learning to live with integrity and confidence in who God created them to be.

Excellence Through Faithful Effort
The awards celebrated students who demonstrate steady growth, faithful effort, and character lived out day by day. "Excellence at XJA is not about being perfect," Fr. Wendt explained. "It's about being faithful to your work, honest in your efforts, and generous in how you treat others."

Each award recipient showed up with courage, persevered when learning was hard, and chose to do the right thing even when no one was watching.

Walking Forward Together
Fr. Wendt thanked families for their partnership and daily sacrifices, and faculty for their patience, high expectations, and deep care for each student. "These awards reflect your work in forming not only scholars, but the first generation of young men who will define what it means to be an XJA graduate."

As we celebrate these achievements, we remember that excellence is not a finish line but a way of walking forward together. Congratulations to all our award recipients. We are proud of you and grateful to walk this journey together as the Xavier Jesuit Academy community.
