XJA Sixth Grade Rite of Passage Ceremony

Each year, XJA's sixth graders cross a threshold from elementary to middle school, marked by a Rite of Passage Ceremony that began just last year and is already becoming an XJA tradition.

At the heart of it is a simple gift: a tie, provided by the XJA Ambassador Committee. As Founding Principal Kyle Chandler tells our students, the tie is a symbol of growth and maturity, a sign that they are scholars, leaders, and men of God, called now to mentor their younger brothers in grades 3-5 as Men for Others.

This year, 18 sixth graders will receive their ties as part of Mass of the Holy Spirit, Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11 am. Your gift helps continue this tradition with the dignity it deserves.
